I used to have a really hard time calling myself an artist.
In my mind, to claim that title, you'd have to be super skilled in whatever medium it was.
Over time, I finally realized that you don't have to be good at art to be an artist. This has given me so much room to experiment and play with new mediums and I love it.
I'm just learning how to use procreate and loosely followed a class online to create this image.
I'll admit, I still love computer design and all of the font options I can choose from to add my favorite quotes to things. But in this case, it was all about play so I didn't mind using my own handwriting.
With all of the ick ai art out there, I'd much rather see people's "ugly" art. The mistakes. The s**t that you don't think is good enough to sell, or is too "weird" to share with your people even if it doesn't match your usual style.
Post it anyway.
At least, that's my goal.
So, while I'm still making my sassy coasters and stuff, you might see some of my art in progress, things I'm learning, beginner pieces, or just pure experiments while I play.
Flood the algorithms with real art. Hopefully we can drown out the Ai ick.
Ps. Anyone have suggestions for good classes that teach beginner procreate? I'd love to learn more!
