Jeff B Young our amazing carpenter and marathon runner, has passed away yesterday Nov 20. He was diagnosed last week with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. Jeff was going to be 68 years old tomorrow Nov 22. He was planning on retiring at the end of 2025. Jeff was a runner like no other, and usually won his age group in whatever internationally recognized marathon he was in. Jeff worked for us for 18 years. He was the best employee ever. He was funny, kind, and very considerate of all our customers, we couldn't have asked for a better employee. Here he is with his wife Christina at our company Christmas party a few years ago. 2 of the nicest people ever. We will always miss Jeff. Jeff B Young November 22, 1958 to November 20, 2025. Services will be in the spring, yet to be announced. We are beyond sad.

Anchorage highway to highway connection is back on the drawing board. There are 4 options with several alternatives. If you look at the pdf of all the plans it’s about 156 pages of information. Please take a look and offer the DOT your opinion. It’s important that everyone be involved.

This study will identify and evaluate options to improve safety, livability, regional travel between the Seward and Glenn Highways, and local travel within the surrounding neighborhoods. Currently, the two controlled access freeways are connected through the study area by slower speed arterial roads...

Vertical Spice is a product we suggest to all our kitchen remodel customers. It’s a product you can install yourself or we can do as part of your remodel. Vertical Spice allows you to store vast amounts of spices in a tiny space. It also allows you to remove a spice bottle sideways from the rack because they use flexible bands to enable the movement easily. The flexible bands also allow odd shaped bottles and jars. I'll be attending the International Builders Show later this month. There will be a lot of seminars on AI. I keep looking for that class on how AI will provide carpentry for our company. Still can't find it. I guess that AI is just for us silly people in the office, and the real work in the field will carry on like always. So if you think your office job is going away due to AI, you can always become a carpenter and have job security.... Except it takes many years to be a good carpenter and really understand construction. The good news is, at least you get a paycheck while you are learning. AI will not solve everything!
