Today, I’m wearing red in solemn remembrance of those who gave everything in defense of our freedom.....their courage, their sacrifice, and the red blood our heroes shed for us.

Pops Custom Signs and Laser Designs is closed until June 10th.....it's time to play!

A long-awaited vacation begins tomorrow (May 25th) for me. I am beyond excited to finally get to see Alaska and the beauty offered.....especially our majest national bird, the Bald Eagle! I get to begin my trip by visiting with Rene Manning and her husband Steve. They volunteered to pick me up at the airport in Anchorage and take me to my hotel. We will run around in Anchorage the next day until I have to meet with my tour guide.

I will embark on a one week ground tour of the Alaskan interior enjoying as many excursions as I can in order to see even more than the tour itself offers. Among the many things I plan to do, I hope to take an airplane to a small village above the Artic Circle, and also taking a helicopter flight out to a glacier where we will land and spend a few hours enjoying ourselves.....and, yes!.....I'm going to let the inner kid in this 72 year old me make another appearance and have a blast!

The second week is an inland passage cruise from Whittier, AK to Vancouver, BK. I get to end my trip with a visit from Sharon and Burt Graham. They will drive up to Vancouver the day we dock to visit with me. I have not seen them since we first met in 2018. Bert and I video chat every week, but it's going to be great to see them again.

I have several more excursions scheduled at each port of calling while on the cruise. My last day will be spent in Vancouver exploring the city on my own. I had wanted to visit Butchart Gardens but I am not certain that will happen. I didn't realize how far it was from Vancouver. So.....that leaves me with a reason to make another trip to the northwest......

I land back in Houston early in the morning on June 9th.

I'm checking off a bucket list item.....I just wish Beth were here to enjoy it with me. I know she will be watching over me the whole time. I am a blessed and happy man.

I just released the latest video of a project in my laser shop. This is a simple, but will be a stunning sign when the project is finished.

I will not be the person finishing the project. But I will receive pictures of it after it has been installed.
