Reflecting on the day we signed the lease and got the keys in 2021. So excited to try something out and bring a store in a new community that I was unfamiliar with. What a huge leap to take and I’ve learned so many things to be a better business owner from the experience.

Today I took the final vinyl and internal letters of Nook & Nest in Ankeny. Grabbed the last of the cleaning supplies. Thursday the external letters will come down. I just want to say thank you very much to Meredith with JLL for working with me the past few months as I transition out.

Big thank you to DRA for being so gracious and understanding.

And the management Team of Angela, Marian and Alex. They are all wonderful humans to work with. I appreciate getting to know you all.

Please continue to support the small business owners in The District. I’m so lucky to have got to know Lance , Tami , Robin and all the others I have met and visited over the 3 years. These are super passionate business owners wanting to provide the best products and service for the community. ❤️

See you in Ames! Our Nook & Nest-Ankeny shop in The District is coming to an end quick. Our last day open will be Saturday, July 20. We will be open 10am - 5pm with some treats while you shop and celebrate the last 3 years together. 🥰 We hope you don’t forget about us and excited to see you up in Ames! Downtown Ames has a lot to offer for unique shopping experiences with a large variety of locally-owned shops, great coffee and tea shops, restaurants and bars.
