Sadly I am not able to be there today- but all my stripey yarn is in very good hands!

Today and tomorrow at Spun Ann Arbor come out and find lots of super fun stripey sock yarns! Our Knitterly Things trunk show at Spun are always some of the most fun!

In case you missed these at freshcoastfiberfest Nicole Coyote Run Fiberworks is all set up for this weekend’s trunk show at Julia and Nancy Vesper, and has brought nearly two dozen more with her!

I custom dyed this yarn for Coyote Run Fiberworks on their fi*****ng weight base- a yarn they mill about an hour from me here in south east Michigan, in Holly.

Come hang out with us at Rosewood Yarn Shop this weekend! Friday and Saturday, 10-4pm!

It’s been awhile since I added a new colorway to my shop!

‘Creepin it Real’ is a colorway I did a limited run of a few years ago- and it’s so good I found a skein in my stash and just knew I had to bring it back!

It has six colors in a stripe repeat, and I paired it with a black* mini skein for the heels and toes.

Perfect for some summerween fun! 👻🎃

*more than likely the black will come off a little bit when you work with it- as is the nature of some heavily saturated hand dyed colors. Sometimes no matter how high the heat, or how thorough the rinse, there is a powdery residue left behind. Not to worry though, as it should not bleed when washed!

At long last- this sock sample is just about done.

This how I cast off pretty much everything. It’s Elizabeth Zimmerman’s sewn cast off. For me, it’s stretchy enough, and it more or less mimics the look of the long tail cast on.

I especially like this for casting off button bands, and the hems of top down sweaters. AND you can sew the bind off in a different color for an added pop of contrast.

There are many, many cast off’s out there- but this is my personal fav.

Happy Early Monday Morning!
Starting off a chill week here in SE Michigan with coffee and ✨purling✨ by the garden.

I’m working on a Honey Petal Cardigan by in Remix Wool DK- a lovely rustic tweed that reminds me of Brooklyn Tweed’s Loft- but without the easy breaking. (IYKYK) This yarn slides along beautifully on needles.

Now that I’ve separated the body and sleeves- it’s an easy relaxing knit to the hem. Adding in the wee stripes keeps in interesting!

Sending a great big THANK YOU to Jill, and everyone at for an amazing trunk show! Jill and I have been trying to make this work for the last two years- and let me tell you, it was worth the wait!

Great people, beautiful shop, fantastically squooshable yarns- a really wonderful experience on all the levels.
I can’t wait to come back!

Where am I knitting this morning??

On a wee little park beach after the rain at Saginaw Bay in Pinconning! 10/10, would absolutely spend a day out here- so peaceful.

I’m out here for a trunk show at , Jill and her team group of knitters and crocheters have been so wonderful, and so welcoming. We are having a great weekend here. 💚🧶
