This might not look like my usual work.
A customer called me this week for a funeral spray for her dad. She was given my info from someone whose funeral I did last month. Right off the bat she told me her mom was requesting something traditional with red roses and she needed reassurance along the way that it would all come together.
We texted throughout the week and I filled her in with my initial color thoughts, progress, and final piece. This arrangement was not about me getting lost in my creative flow or having fun with unique flowers. It was about making it just right for their family and honoring a beloved dad.
In moments of grief, the best thing I can offer is reassurance, ease, and “I’ve got this handled.”
