🇺🇸 LET'S SHOW ALVIN SOME LOVE! ❤️

Meet Alvin, an 80-year-old Vietnam War Veteran from Appleton, Wisconsin, with quite a story to tell.

In January of 1966, Alvin was drafted into the United States Army. After completing his training, he had just five days at home before boarding a plane to Vietnam, not knowing what awaited him.

Nearly 60 years later, Alvin has faced battles of a different kind. From open-heart surgery to multiple brain surgeries, life hasn't always been easy. But through it all, his gratitude and belief in the goodness of others have remained strong.

When Alvin learned he had been selected for Baths for the Brave, he shared something that stuck with us:

"Just the fact I was selected for a new shower is simply amazing... there are many deserving men and women out there."

He ended his message with four simple words:

"There is hope for us!" ❤️

Alvin, we couldn't agree more.

This Veterans Day, November 11th, our team at Square Oaks Home Improvement is honored to install a brand-new, safe and accessible shower for Alvin and his wife, completely free of charge, through Baths for the Brave.

🇺🇸 Help us thank Alvin for his service! Leave a message of appreciation in the comments below!

And be sure to follow along. The next few weeks will be filled with heartwarming moments, community kindness, and giving back to the heroes right here at home.

Some stories stay with you long after the cameras stop rolling. ❤🤍❤

Last year, our Windows for a Warrior program brought us to Green Bay and introduced us to the Savoie family.

What started as an opportunity to give back became something much bigger.

Their story reminded our entire team why this program matters... why supporting the veterans and military families right here in Northeast Wisconsin will always be deeply personal to us.

We’re incredibly grateful to the Savoie family for allowing us into their home, trusting us with their story, and letting us be a small part of something so meaningful.

Take a few minutes and watch their story. It’s real. It’s emotional. And it’s one we will never forget.

❤ And now, we’re getting ready to do it again.❤

In just about six weeks, our Square Oaks team will be giving back to another local veteran family through Windows for a Warrior.

We’ll be sharing more about this year’s recipients very soon, so make sure you’re following our page-- you’re going to want to see this one.

Square Oaks is proud to call the Fox Valley home, and even prouder to serve and support the veterans and families throughout the communities around us.

❤Help us fill the comments with gratitude.❤
If you’re a veteran, thank you for your service.
If you have a veteran in your life, tag them below or leave them a message of thanks.
