Wildbird & Backyard We are here to offer you the best advice and products to help you enjoy your backyard to the fullest. Our exclusive seed blends are delivered fresh weekly.

Located directly across the street from Woodman's, we are the largest wild bird specialty store in Wisconsin. The majority of products we carry are made in the USA, and are not found in big box stores. We carry a large selection of quality bird feeders, houses, baths as well as a customizable pole system. For your yard, we have a great variety of garden decor, including wind chimes, statuary, weather vanes, sundials, spinners, flags, garden stakes and much more. You will also find books, optics and a unique collection of nature themed gifts. Please come in and check it all out!!

Saturday, October 10, is October Big Day — birders around the world count what they can find in a single day, and a backyard list counts the same as one from a rainforest.

The lists get used to track migration, see where birds are declining, and map where they are right in the middle of the fall flight.

🐦 How to take part (it's free):

1. Watch birds for ten or fifteen minutes — a window, a porch, a park, anywhere
2. Write down each species seen or heard, and how many
3. Enter the list in the eBird app, or let the Merlin app help with the IDs
4. Do it again later in the day if you like. Each list counts

No expertise needed. "Four crows, two cardinals, one blue jay" is real data.

👀 Who's passing through now: white-throated sparrows, juncos arriving, kinglets, yellow-rumped warblers, hermit thrushes — plus the regulars.

One Saturday, one list, and the backyard is on the map. 🍂
