If your skin feels sensitive, it might not be your skin’s fault ❤️

Sometimes we assume we need more products when our skin feels dry, tight, itchy, or irritated. But often, sensitive skin can be a sign that it’s asking for less.

A few common things that can leave skin feeling unhappy:

🧼Over-exfoliating with scrubs, acids, or too many “active” ingredients. 🧼Fragrances or essential oils that your skin simply doesn’t agree with. 🧼Using multiple new products at the same time. 🧼Harsh cleansers that leave skin feeling tight after washing. 🧼Constantly switching skincare routines instead of giving products time to work.

One thing I’ve learned from talking with customers is that simple routines are often the most successful.

Gentle cleansing like what our Olive & Oat Goat Milk Soap offers and fewer products.

Sometimes less really is more ✨

Another day of soapy towel laundry on the line…and now they my towels are starting to develop towel faces 😂

This week has been a hard one.

Many of you know that Lil Daisy Soaps was named after my sweet Daisie. She’s been my sidekick through soap making, market days, and more batches of soap than I can count.

Daisie has been a special-needs girl for years, and this week we received a chronic kidney disease diagnosis.

It’s been a lot to process, especially on top of everything else she already manages so well. The good news is she’s still very much Daisie still bossing me around at mealtime, keeping track of where I am, and making sure she’s involved in everyone’s business.

For now we’re adjusting to managing another issue along with her complex issues that she already has. We’d appreciate your prayers and good thoughts as we navigate this new diagnosis.

And if you’re new here, now you know the little lady behind the name of Lil Daisy Soaps. ❤️🐾

This one is extra special because it’s the largest wholesale bath bomb order I’ve completed so far!

Every bath bomb was made, packaged, and packed by hand right here at Lil Daisy Soaps. Watching an order this size come together is a little surreal and a lot exciting.

Moments like these remind me how grateful I am for every customer, every stockist, and every bit of support along the way. 💛

Did you guess the total?

✨ 60 bath bombs! ✨

Do you remember when sharing felt a little slower?

Before every post needed a strategy, a hook, or a purpose beyond simply saying, “I thought this was beautiful.”

A photo of something you were making.

Sunlight across the kitchen table.

A flower blooming in the garden.

A quiet moment that made you pause.

I’ve been looking back through some old photos lately, and what struck me wasn’t how perfect they were. It was how much attention I was paying to everyday life.

The little things.

The ordinary things.

The moments that would have been easy to rush past.

I think that’s something I’ve been trying to hold onto—not just in photography, but in life and in this little business too.

Not always doing more.

Just noticing more.

Finding beauty in what’s already here.

So today I’m sharing a few snapshots from years ago. Little pieces of life that felt worth remembering.

Maybe that’s still enough.

Do you ever find yourself missing that slower way of seeing things?

Drop a ❤️below if you miss these same things

We will see you tomorrow at the Appomattox Farmers Market.

We’re bringing a few of our Soap Infused Sponges with us, and I have to say—they’ve quickly become one of my favorite things to use. The rich lather and bubbly goodness make them such a fun addition to your daily routine.

If you’re curious about them, stop by our booth tomorrow and ask me about them. I’d love to show you how they work and tell you all about them!

Soooo…I made this lovely batch of Orange Cedarwood soap and in addition to this bar I had two more to cut…later that night I was sitting on the back porch relaxing with the dogs and I had that moment where I went, “Oh Buggers” I forgot to take my hanger swirl to those soap loaves today and swirl the colors 😳🥹
So, my concern with cutting was if I was going to wind up with just a big blob of solid color in one area or if it would swirl a bit from how I poured the soap.
So…what do you think??? Is it a pass or fail??? Tell me below ⬇️

So many people think they need an entire shelf of products when their skin starts feeling dry, tight, or irritated.

But sometimes the best place to start is actually simplifying things—gentle cleansing, fewer products, and choosing skincare that feels comforting instead of overwhelming.

That’s a big part of why I love simple, small-batch goat milk soap and uncomplicated routines that feel easy to stick with.

Less stress. Less overthinking. Just cozy, everyday care your skin feels comfortable with ✨
