Retired Deputy Travis Jason Keene passed away at the age of 56 on March 21, 2026, leaving behind a long record of service and dedication to his community.

Travis Keene served as a deputy from September 26, 1999 to October 17, 2022. During his career, he worked with distinction as a member of the Marine Unit. His work focused on serving the public and supporting safety efforts across the community. Colleagues and community members are now reflecting on his years of commitment and steady presence in service.

A memorial service for Deputy Keene is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 1pm at Journey Church. Family and friends are expected to gather to honor his life and service. The Keene family is asking for prayers and support during this time of loss. His legacy continues through the impact he made on the people he served.

Deputy Keene is remembered for his dedication, discipline, and quiet strength throughout his career. His service remains part of the foundation of trust built within the community. Those who knew him are holding onto the moments and memories he left behind. His name continues to be spoken with respect and gratitude.

Great job K9 Ripp on a paws-itively awesome alert for a successful bust! 👏🎉

Exciting work by the Gila County Sheriff’s Office! On December 5th, a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop that led to a significant bust. 🚓

After noticing some suspicious behavior, K9 Ripp was deployed and successfully alerted officers to potential contraband 💊 Although a vehicle search didn’t yield any immediate results, the investigation took a turn when the female passenger admitted to possessing illegal substances.

A thorough search revealed 57 grams of suspected methamphetamine hidden on her person. Both the driver and passenger now face serious charges, including possession and transporting dangerous drugs. T
