Crape Murder!

Stop committing "Crape Murder" in your neighborhood! Hacking off the top of your beautiful Crape Myrtle tree doesn't help it grow better—it destroys its natural, elegant architectural shape forever. Don't ruin your tree just because everyone else is doing it. Severe topping forces the tree into a state of sheer panic. To survive, it pushes out weak, whip-thin, unnatural branches that look terrible in winter and can barely support the weight of their own heavy summer flowers. Instead, let them grow naturally. Use the correct pruning technique by only removing dead branches, crossing limbs, or suckers at the base. Let the beautiful, peeling bark and strong natural canopy be the focal point of your landscape.

Dark yards are the best yards. Soft lighting not floods!

Two yards. Same street. Same night.

The one on the left looks finished — lit from every angle, bright and visible. The one on the right looks dark and quiet.

🌿 The dark yard has fireflies flashing in the grass. A sphinx moth pollinating the flowers. A toad hunting under the porch step. Migrating birds passing overhead without circling.

The bright yard has insects spiraling at the bulbs. No fireflies. No moths at the flowers. The same species that filled the dark yard are absent from this one.

The yard that stays dark is the one where the night still works 🐾
