We are proud to announce that we have officially signed a one year lease for a display case at Midtown Antique Mall in Stillwater, Minnesota.

This is an exciting new chapter as we continue expanding our in person presence and bringing authentic historical artifacts directly to collectors and history enthusiasts. Our case will feature a rotating selection of original militaria, medals, insignia, documents, and historic items from multiple eras.

Stillwater is one of Minnesota’s premier destination towns, and we are honored to become part of the outstanding dealer community at Midtown Antique Mall.

We will be moving in during May 2026 and look forward to welcoming everyone once the display is complete. More updates and setup photos to come soon.

We’re excited to announce that VDG Militaria will be set up next weekend at the Southeast Minnesota Military Collectors Show in Cannon Falls, MN!

We’re opening our warehouse space to the public for the first time — in collaboration with the St. Joseph’s Business Guild. This event is open to everyone, whether Catholic or not, and it’s a great opportunity to meet business professionals, industry leaders, and others in our local community.

A rarely seen original piece of Imperial Japanese Army officer’s field gear — this unissued WWII-era visor cap insignia still retains its original backing cloth, never affixed or worn. Woven in fine silk or rayon thread, the detailed golden star is framed by a laurel and cherry blossom wreath — an officer-exclusive emblem symbolizing martial virtue and imperial service. These cap badges were worn by lieutenants through generals on their service caps during campaigns across Asia and the Pacific. A scarce and affordable addition to any WWII Japanese collection.

WW1 British Victory Medal Named to Lance Naik Qad Ali – 1st Battalion, 25th Punjabis, Indian Army
This deeply personal WWI British Victory Medal is officially named to “2789 L-NK. S.A.R. QAD ALI, 1-25 PJB S.”—identifying Lance Naik Qad Ali of the 25th Punjabis, British Indian Army. This storied regiment fought in the Mesopotamian Campaign, where Indian troops bore the brunt of brutal operations against the Ottoman Empire. From the Tigris front to the advance on Baghdad, Qad Ali’s rank as Lance Naik placed him in a leadership role during one of the Great War’s most unforgiving campaigns.

Indian troops made up the majority of British forces in this theater—over 1.3 million served globally during WWI, with more than 74,000 losing their lives. This medal stands as a rare and important reminder of their sacrifice.
