Decorating this Dorm Apt room brought back so many memories…. The things that they have available today to decorate with are truly amazing!!! I saw so many ingenious ideas that those students were coming up with!!! It was truly mind blowing and a pleasure seeing all at the same time!!

I still have to make a couple trips to finish what I started with some designs… but always remember to definitely design around “your own” personal taste… you should feel comfortable in “your” own space!! ❤️

Thank you to the students who entrusted me to design their spaces!!! Love you!!🥰

Trash to Treasure:
Sooo, after I finished the other shelf, (if you haven’t seen it, it’s the previous post) my client said she had another one that was going to the trash. She said let me show you…I believe you can do something with it too. So I see it!!! Yikes, 😱

She said so what can you do with this one? I said: I can throw it away for you! 🤣
She said, No, seriously… I believe you can transform this thing… I really do. So I asked her… what did she want me to do to it? Because of the structure damage, I probably couldn’t do the exact same thing as I did to the other one… (couldn’t do it anyway…I can’t do repeats 😂)

So she said, just do something that could match the other one… that she could put in her hallway… and create a space that she can switch out floral arrangements.

Adding headers to your windows and doors, can elongate your room. It adds height and an open space concept without any demolition.

If you notice in the before pic, the windows and door, are being cut off with the valances.

Removing them and adding the headers, builds up and doesn’t cut the room off.
