๐คฃ Tuesday's Tip of the Dayโฆ
When Iโm pouring a bunch of moulds, I have a system: Iโll usually go ahead and measure everything into my cups so itโs ready to mix the second I demould the batch before it.
Wellllllโฆ apparently that system only works if you remember you have cups sitting there. ๐คฃ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
I got distracted, and came back about TWO HOURS later. Saw my cups and thought, Oh yeah! My moulds! Mixed it up and poured like normal.
And THIS happened. ๐๐
The casting material bubbled and expanded out the back until it was about twice as thick as it should have been!
Iโve poured a LOT of moulds and this was a first for me.
So todayโs tip: If you pre-measure your casting material, donโt leave it sitting exposed for a couple of hours before mixing it. Apparently, it has plans of its own. ๐
And maybe the bonus tip isโฆ if you have ADHD, set a timer when you walk away from the mould table. ๐คฃ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Don't forget to set a reminder for what the timer is for too ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
First time for everything! At least now we all know what not to do. ๐โค๏ธ
