And so it begins!
Calving season has started strong on our little herd with 2 nice, healthy bull calves overnight. They'll both have extra siblings joining them, as their mamas are retired dairy cross cows, and produce plenty of milk for them and another. Behati (pictured) and Hart and their babies will spend a couple weeks in individual pens inside to ensure they accept the second calf and everybody is doing good before we let them back out. This is year 4 with this hybrid nurse cow system, and for us, it works great! These Normande cows LOVE their babies!

And every piece of farm machinery will be jumped on, laid in, sh*t on, wires probably nibbled if they're visible, etc.
Because operating said farm machinery obviously requires at least 1 goat as well...

We wouldn't want it any other way. Because that would be boring without having to stop and say "Move, please." 😆🤦‍♀️

We will not be at Mineral Point Market this weekend, as we'll be celebrating Sam and her classmates' achievements.
