Sometimes the vintage shopping gods just reach out and tell you what you need. I found this framed needlepoint of Sanibel island. I do not have a spot to hang it. But it still came home with me.

When my oldest was a sophomore in high school he played in a tournament in Florida. He and I took a roadtrip and in between games explored the island. We had such an incredible time! Three days after we left the island was decimated by a hurricane.

It’s finds like these that are just one reason I adore vintage shopping. When a piece speaks to you and transports you to another space and another time. When it brings back cherished memories.
