🔨🏡 Guest House Transformation — Part 2: Interior Renovation
We’re excited to continue sharing the progress of our guest house renovation project. After completing major exterior upgrades, we turned our attention to the interior, completely reimagining the layout to create a more functional, comfortable, and modern living space.
✨ Here’s what has been completed so far:
✅ New windows have been installed throughout the entire house, bringing in more natural light and making every room feel brighter and more spacious.
✅ New exterior and interior doors have been installed.
✅ The existing subfloor was completely replaced, and the home is now prepared for its new flooring.
✅ The kitchen layout has been redesigned:
One interior doorway was removed to create more space for the kitchen.
A wall was removed to open up the area and improve the overall flow of the home.
✅ New access points were created:
A separate entrance from the living room to the bathroom.
A dedicated entrance to the bedroom for a more practical and comfortable layout.
✅ The ceiling structure was completely transformed:
The original ceiling was removed.
The kitchen was redesigned into an open-concept space with vaulted ceilings, creating a larger and more inviting atmosphere.
✅ Access to the upper level was added:
A new opening was created leading to the attic.
The furnace system was relocated and installed in this space.
A new subfloor was installed, making the attic accessible and functional for equipment maintenance.
✅ Bathroom improvements are underway:
A dedicated laundry niche has been built for the washer and dryer.
A shower niche will be installed to provide convenient built-in storage.
📸 These photos showcase the transformation from demolition and structural changes to the installation of cabinetry, new finishes, and the creation of a completely new living environment.
Every step of this project is focused on maximizing comfort, functionality, and long-term value while preserving the character of this guest house.
