Many people don’t realize how much planning and coordination goes into a renovation, or how many decisions need to be made along the way. What starts as “it just needs a little bit of work” often becomes something much more involved, which is why having the right guidance matters.

Our Classic Charm, Reimagined project is a great example of that process. The goal was to create a classic cottage feel while improving functionality and bringing a more unified design direction to the home. Behind the scenes, that meant thinking through layout, storage, lighting, materials, and how each space would function day to day.

This is the kind of work we love. Traditional charm paired with thoughtful updates so the home feels both familiar and fully livable, with every detail working together to create something that feels natural, comfortable, and built to last.

Rustic Elegance is really taking shape.

The hallway became an opportunity to do more than just pass through. With the clients’ extensive book collection in mind, it was designed as a place to pause, where books can be reached for, revisited, and enjoyed. Built-ins and a bench support that use, while color-drenched walls and soft cream and blue window treatments create a warm, cohesive backdrop that feels inviting rather than purely functional.

In the primary bedroom, the goal is to create a retreat that feels restorative after time spent outdoors. A custom four-poster bed, a quiet reading area with a chair and ottoman, and a dresser bring in rustic character while maintaining a sense of refinement. The overall effect is grounded, comfortable, and easy to settle into.

From rendering to reality, our Everyday, Elevated dining room shows just how much happens between concept and install.

We began with a palette of greens and blues to create a space that feels serene and stylish. The custom built-in bench and incoming cushion now add cozy, flexible seating in a previously underutilized bay window. It’s perfect for extra seating while entertaining, and doubles as a quiet reading nook for early mornings or quiet afternoons. The custom dining table is designed to fit the room’s proportions, ensuring every gathering feels comfortable.

What starts as a visual concept becomes a fully realized space through sourcing, coordination, customization, and careful ex*****on. It is always rewarding to see the full design come together during install days.

Revival in Blue is coming together beautifully in the primary bathroom and bedroom 💙

The primary bath was designed to feel true to the home. Historic hex tile adds texture underfoot, while handmade shower tile and brass and polished nickel bring in an enduring finish. Rather than overworking the design, we approached this historic home with restraint, choosing details that honor its original character and let the architecture lead.

In the bedroom, custom millwork pairs with Schumacher patterned wallpaper. Even within a modest footprint, this transformation is a reminder that thoughtful design isn’t always about adding more. It’s about knowing what to preserve, what to refine, and how to create a sense of permanence that resonates the home’s history.

We just wrapped up a visit to the Tailored Closets showroom to fine-tune the right storage solutions for a client’s garage and closet.

Our role is to be part of the process from the start: evaluating options, coordinating with partners, and translating how the client uses each space into a custom system. We map out zones for parking, bikes, tools, seasonal gear, clothing, and accessories, based on what they store and how they want to access it. Then, we align cabinetry, wall systems, hardware, lighting, and finishes with the rest of the home so both the garage and closet feel like a natural extension of the design.
