Every journey has a beginning…
Before there was Simple Sawdust…
Before the French cleat wall…
Before all the sawdust covering my garage…
There was just a picture.
My daughter found a bench online and asked,
“Dad, do you think we could build this together?”
So we gave it a shot.
When we finished, my wife said,
“Now I want one!”
So I built her one too.
Not long after that, I built the little stool by our bathtub.
Looking back now, I had no idea those simple projects would spark a passion for woodworking.
Today I’m building bigger projects, learning new skills, making plenty of mistakes, and sharing the entire journey with all of you.
You don’t have to be an expert to build something you’re proud of.
Sometimes all it takes is one project to change everything.
This is where my story began.
