With only 10 minutes of prep and 20 minutes of cooking, this colorful recipe is refreshing, comforting and easy to personalize. Chef Gia Fazio prepares it with special guest Ron Funches in the newest episode of Care Kitchen.

This Tropical Black Bean Soup with Mango Salsa makes six servings, so you can enjoy a warm bowl right away and refrigerate or freeze the extras for days when you have less time or energy to cook.
Need a lower-fiber variation? The black beans can be replaced with cooked chicken or turkey. Blend the soup until smooth, and leave off the mango salsa if fresh fruit isn’t well tolerated.
