This rosary has taken a long time to finish, but it was worth it!

Each bead was hand-rolled out of resin and dried flowers. The grandmother of a friend had passed away, and preserving the flowers from her funeral inside a rosary seemed like the best way to honor her.

Holy Mother Mary, pray for us now and in the hour of our death, Amen.

I’m finally getting around to a big project that has been sitting on the back burner. I’m making a rosary (or rosaries) for a friend who lost her grandmother, out of the flowers from her funeral. These rosaries are incredibly labor intensive. It took me 2 minutes to make one bead! Multiply this by 59, then the time it takes to make holes, seal, bake, and then actually make the rosary.

It’s definitely a labor of love!

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us. Increase your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent. Submit ourselves to your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen.

This one is GORGEOUS! It’s a seafoamy-blue quartz. The back of the crucifix has the stations of the cross.
