𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟱 · 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲. “The art is complete when someone rests.”

The gentle curve of linen. The quiet comfort of a mattress. A person with nowhere else to be.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁.

At STL Beds, this is what the craft of comfort is all about—helping you find a place to let go.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟰 · 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿: “𝗔 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁.”

What if you could step inside a dream?

Stone walls curve around you. Warm light settles into every corner. A ceiling of tiny stars stretches overhead—and at the heart of it all, a bed invites you to let go.

In this chapter of our sleep-inspired art exhibit, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱. The chamber feels almost like the inside of a dreaming mind: sheltered, mysterious, and full of places your imagination can wander.

The room wraps around the bed. The mattress welcomes the sleeper. Everything leads back to that moment when the day loosens its grip.

At 𝗦𝗧𝗟 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘀, this imagined world brings us back to something real: finding comfort that helps you settle in.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯: 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 “Familiar materials. Unfamiliar possibilities.”

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺?

Steel springs loosen their spirals and flow into liquid metal. Soft support layers become translucent glass. Quilted fabric rises in a graceful wave.

In the third piece of our conceptual mattress exhibit, the materials we recognize take on possibilities we’ve never imagined.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺.

At STL Beds, what’s inside a mattress has always fascinated us. This imagined sculpture takes that curiosity somewhere unexpected—where support becomes movement, softness becomes light, and comfort becomes art.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘆𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁—the flowing metal, the glass, or the rising fabric?

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮: 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 🌙 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 — 𝗔𝗻 𝗦𝗧𝗟 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁

You know that moment when you’re drifting off… your body relaxes, your thoughts loosen, and the day starts to disappear?

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴?

Quilted comfort, cushioning layers, and pocketed coils hang suspended above a still reflection pool. Familiar mattress materials become something extraordinary—a dream caught in midair.

The crystal and obsidian fragments bring the mystery. The recognizable mattress pieces bring us back to where every dream begins.

𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁.
Every layer has a job. Together, they shape how a mattress feels when you finally let go.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗲𝗲—𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲, 𝗮 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺, 𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲?

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁: 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁

What if you walked into an art gallery… and the masterpiece was a mattress?

Our five-day virtual exhibit begins with a look beneath the surface. A graceful peel reveals the coils, cushioning, and fibers within—turning the hidden construction of comfort into sculpture.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲.

The artwork is imagined. The importance of what goes inside your mattress is real.

At 𝗦𝗧𝗟 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘀, we help you understand those differences—and find the comfort and support that fit you.

Would this make you stop and take a closer look? 👀

Follow along tomorrow as we step into 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹’𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲. 💪😂

That’s 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝟭𝟳𝟱 𝗣𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗢𝗨𝗚 standing on one of his upside-down drawer boxes. The flexing? Strictly for entertainment.

Michael built this queen-size platform bed through 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, with craftsmanship you can see underneath the finish, too:

✅ Cabinet-grade ¾-inch pine plywood drawer boxes
✅ ⅜-inch bottoms fitted into grooves on all four sides
✅ Full-extension, soft-close ball-bearing slides rated at 100 pounds per pair
✅ Thick drawer faces with built-in finger grooves—no handles needed

𝗦𝗜𝗫 𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗦. Approximately 𝗘𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗖𝗨𝗕𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗧 of usable storage. All tucked underneath your bed!

The drawer box held me for the photo. The slides get the clothes. 😆

Come see Michael’s work here at 𝗦𝗧𝗟 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘀—and give him some love in the comments!

Michael’s been busy, and I’ve got to show off his latest creation! 👏

He built this 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗱 through his business, 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

A clean black finish, built-in headboard shelving, and 𝗦𝗜𝗫 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 underneath!

Those drawers pull all the way out on 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹-𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀. No digging around trying to reach whatever disappeared into the back.

It’s on display here at 𝗦𝗧𝗟 𝗕𝗲𝗱𝘀, and I’m proud to have his work in the showroom. Stop by and take a look!

𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲! What do you think of his latest build?
