Here’s the progress! It’s all framed up and ready for sheathing…once this rainy weather leaves us anyways. We’ll be using Zip System Insulated R-Sheathing for the walls, and regular sheathing for the roof. Once done, this thing is gunna be tighter than the skin on a grape!

Growing up, my dad was a residential contractor. So during my teen years, I would help frame up houses during the summer months while I was out of school. Today, that has transitioned to me helping out an architect buddy, making his and his wife’s dreams of an ADU in their backyard a reality. It’s been a loooong time since I’ve worn a tool belt and my body is reminding me of that!

You know what sounds good after waking up to a bunch of snow the day after Cinco de Mayo? (Or if you indulged a wee bit too much yesterday!) Taking a nice hot sauna! It has the simple benefit of warmth, but also is great for cardiovascular health, pain management, stress reduction, skin health, and more. OR if yesterday was too fun for some of you, get in there to detox a bit!

Sauna time! Just finished building a sauna for a customer in Golden, CO. The scent of fresh cedar has always been one of my favorites. Perfectly sized for 2-3 people, or just you if you want to lay down on the top bench and listen to some relaxing music while dimming the lights. It’s a space to get away from the world for a bit and sweat out all your worries and relax.

A little late here, but I wish everyone had a happy holiday season. If you spent time with family, friends, or just yourself, I hope you were able to find a little solace and joy in the season and spent some time looking towards the next year.
