Another project in the books! This one I took over halfway from another woodworker. They chose to install upper cabinets as the base, and had the top built. I came in and built the shelving and painted it. Bookcases always look amazing when fully stacked with books!

***BREAKING NEWS***

Voskors Woodworking will now be featured at a new shop opening TOMORROW 8/29 @ 11am. Stop in at the Tennyson Craft House Sonja located at 44th & Tennyson, right next to the Oriental Theater.

You won’t need to wait for a pop up market to get some great gifts and products anymore! There are a lot of items for sale, including butcher blocks, cutting boards, serving tray, charcuterie boards, cribbage boards, pizza peels, candle holders, and much more!

Stop down and take a look, and support the other great local artists and makers that are in the shop.

Finally got these bad boys installed! White oak built-in shelving around the fireplace to match the custom beam mantel. Some jobs take a while to get the detail done right, some take a while because the city is holding up your fireplace inspection. Whatever it may be, we are here to get it done right for you!

Hey everyone! In a couple more hours it’s the weekend! You could be like this guy and smoke some ribs and brisket, and use an authentic Voskors Woodworking butcher block to cut it on. He loves it so much, he took it with him sailing and ended the trip making all this delicious food!

Is there a bay window in your house? Are you unsure what to do with the space? Build a bench with storage space! This one is built with white oak, and the face of the bench is fluted. When the doors are closed, you can barely even tell that they are there! On the top you can put a bunch of plants, books, or maybe a cushion and use it as a reading nook. The options are endless!

Here’s the progress! It’s all framed up and ready for sheathing…once this rainy weather leaves us anyways. We’ll be using Zip System Insulated R-Sheathing for the walls, and regular sheathing for the roof. Once done, this thing is gunna be tighter than the skin on a grape!

Growing up, my dad was a residential contractor. So during my teen years, I would help frame up houses during the summer months while I was out of school. Today, that has transitioned to me helping out an architect buddy, making his and his wife’s dreams of an ADU in their backyard a reality. It’s been a loooong time since I’ve worn a tool belt and my body is reminding me of that!

You know what sounds good after waking up to a bunch of snow the day after Cinco de Mayo? (Or if you indulged a wee bit too much yesterday!) Taking a nice hot sauna! It has the simple benefit of warmth, but also is great for cardiovascular health, pain management, stress reduction, skin health, and more. OR if yesterday was too fun for some of you, get in there to detox a bit!
