When I think of this past year, my thoughts always shift to this outdoor space. It is where we could safely visit with our daughter, it was a respite from being indoors and we used it even on the coldest days thanks to the fireplace. After moving from LA with only their most treasured things, we set out to pick furniture that complimented the era of the home and was worthy of their collections. This fun and casual family room is ready for the grandkids and lots of family gatherings…aren’t we all excited about getting back to normal? I know I am but I am grateful for the quiet time and introspection that this past year provided. And I am really grateful that I had a business that continued and survived unlike so many in the hospitality and other sectors who suffered greatly during this time. “The calla lilies are in bloom again. Such a strange flower—suitable to any occasion….” Remember this iconic movie line? Love a good grocery store flower find (Fresh Market, in this case). I love them falling off to the side instead of standing straight in a taller vase. However, I should have cut them a wee bit shorter now that I see them. 🥀 Such is the honesty of photos. Keeping it real….😜

That’s how you take a 1940s sideboard into 2021! We love reusing our clients’ existing pieces and giving them a refresh. Why buy new if you have FUNCTIONAL pieces you already own, n’est-ce pas? And master hanging skills by Monsieur Eric brings new FORM to antique platters and a botanical art collection. That’s what we do.

These etageres are the bomb and our hip “mature” client loved them when we presented our design board. I want to be her in a few years💃 Part of our process also included accompanying our lovely client on shopping trips to local stores to pick out the finishing touches. Desk accessories from Hunt & Gather and lamps from Union Camp Collective.
