Some projects mean a little more. โœจ

The homeowner of this beautiful property grew up in this house. As a child, he remembers admiring the landscape lighting, sitting on the upper deck reading a book, and enjoying the simple life. He remembered how those quiet moments felt while experiencing the property illuminated at night.

Over the years, the original system aged, failed, and eventually stopped working altogether.

Now, years later, heโ€™s back living in his childhood home โ€” this time raising his own family behind the same walls that shaped so many of his memories.

For his birthday, his wife wanted to surprise him by bringing that feeling back to life.

We worked behind the scenes as long as we could before the secret finally slipped out ๐Ÿ˜… โ€” but when the lights came on for the first time, it was everything they had hoped for.

Projects like this remind us that outdoor lighting is about more than fixtures and wire. Itโ€™s about emotion, memories, and creating moments people carry with them for a lifetime.

At this years AOLP Annual Conference in Carlsbad, CA, Terran had the chance to meet one of the lighting designers from โ€” and apparently our logo made an impression.

After he complimented it, we sent him one of our COL hoodiesโ€ฆ and now our brand is hanging inside one of the most iconic art studios in the world.

Pretty surreal moment for our team.

As artists ourselves, itโ€™s inspiring to see Carolina Outdoor Lighting represented in a space dedicated to creativity, craftsmanship, and bold artistic vision.
