Our modern / abstract rug collection is something you’ve got to see in person to fully appreciate! These rugs are handmade, usually of all wool, but some are made with wool AND silk! They give visual interest and subtle movement, while anchoring the overall design of a room. These pieces are always a big hit and they look excellent in contemporary spaces. Loving this oversized Oushak rug in the north Asheville showroom today! Measuring 12’ x 16’ makes it all the more impressive that this piece is entirely handmade! It’s knotted construction make it ultra durable, and the all wool pile is naturally stain resistant, so we know this rug will continue to be a head-turner for decades to come. Our showrooms are open to the public and we have uniquely beautiful rugs in all sizes, big or small.

At Textura Rugs, our community consists of many folks who appreciate the arts, design and creativity.
We’d like to help connect those individuals with one of our talented friends, Christine Enochs Fine Art. Read on to learn where you can find and support her work:

Christine is a painter based in Asheville who works out of her home studio when she’s not adventuring. She and her partner recently spent 3 years traveling the US with their cat in a converted bus, and she draws inspiration from landscapes far and wide in her art. Working in a variety of mediums, such as oils, pastels, and watercolor, her style is loosely representational with an emphasis on color.

Growing up in Mississippi, she was exposed to art very young by her talented mother, an artist herself. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA, and has been a resident of western North Carolina ever since. She’s been in many solo and group exhibitions, was a founder of the Saints of Paint, and has partnered with Preserving a Picturesque America (PAPA) for several years.
