I love designing functional spaces. This 4 bedroom unit doesn’t have a dining area so we got creative and I designed a kitchen island/table. Great additional counter space for food prep or grazing while standing but come dinner time swivel stools are pulled out to enjoy a meal.
This was a labor of love. Legs are angled to mimic the angled stool legs. The powder coated base color was selected to coordinate with the stools. The countertop slab specified to be the same as the existing kitchen counters, which was tricky because it’s a discontinued color.
All this was done via email, with a hand sketch, emails and phone calls, and it turned out exactly as I had envisioned.
Very nerve wracking!!!!!
But I love it.😬
