Before and after of a mantle I had and wanted to find a place for in my house. Most is decorated from souvenirs from our Scotland trip. The rest is thrifted or gifted. Accidentally forgot to delist the pillow on eBay and what do you know, it sold. 🤣🤣🤣 look what you can do with thrifted or 2nd hand buys. Get to Warehouse 23 and Guthrie's Corner Market and Antiques. Unless you’re window shopping I think it will be hard to leave empty handed.

When my heart is heavy I decorate. It keeps my mind at peace! The last few days I’ve thought about my little Izzy. So, I just picked another spot and gave it a little upgrade. Before and afters below. Don’t be afraid to mix old, vintage and new. Don’t worry about mixing styles. Different wood tones, or colors, or animal prints. I consider those neutrals. 🤣🤣 If you like it, you can make it work. I pulled in some blues from my kitchen/dining and some oranges from my living room and entry to help tie it together. Now, I have me a cute little space to do my eBay and booth listings. All with items I already had and already thrifted. Little Milo helped too. He supervised. 🥰

Redecorating with what you have! Even better, what you have is 💯 thrifted. Check out local shops like, Warehouse 23, Guthrie's Corner Market and Antiques, and Junebugs Vintage. Hit up your local thrift stores. Treasures abound.

Have I told you how much lately I love to decorate? Sometimes you just have to take a small area and switch it up. So, I shopped my own house. I’ve had this art deco hutch for some time now. The Bakelite handles on it are worth more than the actual hutch. Trust me, I had to replace one. 😬 It was in a booth I had for display. I was NEVER gonna get rid of her. I have the matching buffet. So, now, she finally has a home here. A few splashes of color, some greenery, mixed metals, textiles, and a new to me piece of Mexican bark art and I have a redecorated space. It’s fun to shop your own home. It’s even more fun when you can do it using thrifted items. I like to think I’m helping the planet one thrift at a time. Switch things around. Get out of your rut and it’s free. 🙌🙌🙌🙌. The only downside is realizing how bad I needed to dust. 😬😬😬 Fun Fact in the comments 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
