A home should tell your story. ✨ Nora shares why artwork is one of her favorite ways to bring personality and meaning into a space—and why her rule is simple: if you love it, it will work.
Nora’s full response:
I think one of the best ways to make a home feel personal—not just beautiful—is through artwork.
I think a lot of people get overwhelmed when it comes to choosing art, so they end up buying mass-produced pieces. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that—they're often beautiful—but they're also found in a lot of other homes, which takes away from that personal connection.
I've always believed that art is subjective. What one person finds beautiful or meaningful might not resonate with someone else, and that's exactly what makes it so special. You don't have to be an art expert to appreciate it.
Whether it's photography, a painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, or even something you picked up while traveling, if it catches your eye or makes you feel something, it's worth incorporating into your home. Those pieces tell your story, and that's what makes a space feel uniquely yours.
My rule is simple: if you love it, it will work.
