Heart pine usually runs warm. Honey, amber, a little red around the knots. Pearl pulls all of that back without hiding any of it. The grain still runs long and tight. The knots and natural character are still there. They just sit a little quieter now.

Today we're saying farewell to someone who's been part of this shop for a decade. After 10 incredible years with Mill & Woods, Athena is off to her next chapter. 💚
She's built real relationships and treated every project like it was going in her own home. She'll be missed, and we wish her nothing but the best in what's ahead.
The good news? You're in familiar hands. Picking up where Athena left off, is your new Mill & Woods sales rep is Amanda Glass. Amanda has been with us for over 10 years on the operations, marketing, and design side. She knows our products, our process, and our people inside and out.
Thank you for everything, Athena. This isn't goodbye. 🌿

Yesterday’s site visits brought us to Koshu Club in Buckhead — an intimate Japanese-inspired steakhouse by Castellucci Hospitality Group and Michelin-starred, James Beard finalist Chef J. Trent Harris, with interiors by Smith Hanes Studio. 🖤
We were excited to experience the space firsthand and see how the carefully selected materials contribute to the overall design.
Our random-width Carbon Shou Sugi cladding sets the tone from the moment guests arrive and continues throughout the restaurant, paired with Hudson Black on American White Oak and LeBar on French Oak flooring. The contrast between the deep, charred tones and lighter wood finishes feels dramatic yet beautifully balanced, creating a natural flow through the restaurant’s moody interior.
Every material and thoughtfully curated detail works together to set the stage for an evening that feels as beautifully layered as the space itself. 👏🏻

The color is new. The wood isn't. The nail holes were already there. The checks in the grain, too. We just found a finish that made all of it feel like it belonged.

What you'll be doing:
➡️ Operating production equipment in the shop
➡️ Helping load and deliver materials to customers
➡️ Being a dependable part of the day-to-day operation
