The architecture set the tone.

For the outdoor terrace at the 2026 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Lake Burton Showhouse, I built on the home’s natural materials and earthy palette to create a space that feels like an extension of the interiors.

Layered, comfortable, and connected to its surroundings.

There’s something about life by the lake that asks you to slow down.

A place for quiet mornings, afternoon lounging, cocktails before dinner, and evenings that stretch a little longer.

The outdoor terrace I designed for the 2026 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Lake Burton Showhouse.

The bunk room bath at the 2026 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Lake Burton Showhouse.

Saturated blue, woven texture, warm wood and quiet stone—with an unexpected pop of pink tucked into the toilet room.

A layered mix of materials that gives this small space a character all its own.

A little something personal today. 🤍

Nine years married to my favorite person—and looking back at a few photographs from a day I’ll always love.

Happy anniversary to us!

Sometimes it's the room. Sometimes it's the view. Sometimes it's both.

I love sharing the finished spaces, but I also love sharing the work most people never see.

This mural wasn’t simply selected from a sample book. Every wall was measured, every architectural element documented, and every panel customized specifically for this room. Working alongside the incredible team at Woodchip & Magnolia, we carefully adjusted the layout so butterflies and dragonflies would frame the architecture rather than disappear behind windows, artwork, or furniture.

It’s one of those details that may go unnoticed at first—but it’s exactly these thoughtful decisions that make a custom installation feel effortless.

Swipe through to see how this mural came together from the very beginning.

Every custom mural starts with the space itself. Before a single panel is printed, every wall, window, doorway, ceiling angle, and architectural detail is carefully documented.

These measurements become the blueprint for the mural layout.

Working closely with Woodchip & Magnolia, we customized the mural specifically for this room rather than using a standard repeat.

Every butterfly and dragonfly was intentionally positioned so important details wouldn’t disappear behind windows, artwork, or built-ins.

Watching the design move from drawing to reality is always one of my favorite moments.

What feels effortless in the finished room is often the result of dozens of thoughtful decisions behind the scenes.

A bunk room deserves to feel just as special as a primary bedroom.

That’s because I believe every room deserves the same level of intention.

For the 2026 Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Lake Burton Showhouse, I didn’t want the bunk room to feel like an afterthought. I wanted it to feel just as intentional as every other space in the home. The woodland mural became the foundation for the design, inspiring the inky blue-grey painted millwork, layered textiles, natural woven materials, and warm brass accents. The palette was pulled directly from the landscape surrounding Lake Burton, creating a room that feels calm, welcoming, and connected to its surroundings.

Design isn’t just about creating beautiful rooms. It’s about creating places people can’t wait to come back to.

If everyone hopes they get the bunk room, I consider that a success.
