Simple and Elegant Ceramics offering both beauty and functionality

Pottery that enhances the beauty of your home…

Kitchen Ware - Pottery for everyday use in the kitchen…

I enjoy working on — and perfecting — simple glazed forms for everyday use. I have used a variety of techniques: majolica, salt and soda firing, raku, and gas and electric firing. As a result, I have developed an eclectic style and form involving a multitude of clays, processes and glazes. I am inspired by natural forms of simple elegance, like gingko leaves, sea shells and seed pods. Although I can never replicate these perfect forms made by God, I strive to express my appreciation of this beauty through the forms I do create.

My sister gave me this beautiful scarf and it inspired me to decorate these 2 plates with the colors and designs.

I've been rather quiet about all this, but now that it's over and I am recovering, I just want to express my gratitude and praise to God for all the mini miracles and God shots that have occurred along the way. As I first discovered there was a serious problem with my heart over Valentine's weekend, and then later was led to the perfect surgeon and all the wonderful caregivers at St. Joseph's. I am truly blessed to be alive.

And I need to thank God for my amazing husband who has been with me, caring for me every step of the way. I am truly blessed!

First day on the wheel after heart surgery April 23rd. I also did a slab built bowl. 5 mugs and I'm beat! What a long strange trip it's been.
