A place to disappear.

Along Montana’s legendary Madison River, this sporting lodge was created as an escape from the pace of modern life. For a client working in the world of technology, the vision wasn’t simply to build a hunting and fishing retreat. It was to create a place where family, friends, and the landscape took precedence over everything else.

Built from hand-hewn timbers, native stone, and materials rooted in the region, the lodge appears as though it has stood on the riverbank for generations. More than a cabin, this chapter of Peace in the West is about creating refuge, where the rhythm of the Madison River replaces the pace of everyday life and the landscape itself becomes the greatest luxury.

SPECIAL 💥 EVENT — Join designer Bill Peace and architect Stan Dixon for a lively conversation about design, architecture, and collaboration. The pair will kick off their session with a presentation and conversation, followed by a meet-and-greet and personal book signing of their respective titles.

Bill Peace, author of Peace in the West: The Rustic Luxury Interiors of William Peace, is a leading national designer of luxury interiors. Renowned for creating exceptional mountain retreats, lakeside escapes, ranch properties, and slopeside homes, his work embodies the best of elevated rustic living.

Stan Dixon, author of Home: The Residential Architecture of D. Stanley Dixon, showcases thirteen architecturally diverse projects ranging from coastal retreats to English manor-inspired estates. Blending classical principles with modern influences, Dixon’s work reflects a timeless aesthetic rooted in thoughtful proportion, enduring craftsmanship, and context-sensitive design.
