My job is to fix these bad boys. No matter the weather. Seen here is us working in the blazing sun with no shade.
Sorry, I ate the banana. M,35
Edit: I'm going to answer a few questions here.
1. We never know how many broken carts will be at a store. We can't take the extra time to constantly set up a pop up tent.
2. We travel directly to the store. The only room to work is the parking lot.
3. We're not contracted with Walmart anymore. Pretty sure they actually order new carts all the time.
4. We absolutely hate the locking wheels. They're the true bane of our existence.
5. The locking wheels aren't magnetic. They lock up on a radio frequency.
6. Calling me Bubbles is unoriginal.
7. I know hats are a thing.
8. It's called taking frequent breaks. Staying hydrated and moving quickly. I've been doing this for years now. It's not like it's my first rodeo.

"Spam in a can"
In the airline world, most countries require that if the duration of your flight is more than 8 hours, you require 1 additional pilot (for a total of 3). If it's more than 12 hours, you require 2 additional pilot (for a total of four). This is for Part 121 operations (air carriers...generally passenger and cargo airliners) under FAA rules. I can't speak for other countries/airlines but most tend to align with FAA/ICAO rules and companies can be more restrictive.
Anyway, with additional crewmembers (for 2 pilot aircraft), a sleep area is provided for rotating shifts. The idea of course is to get rest, but always have 2 pilots at the controls. The sleep area is separate from the cockpit area (to a greater or lesser degree) and usually includes the ability to lay flat (though in some MD-11F cargo aircraft, the lay flat area is a floor and a futon behind a bulkhead and not much else). Most aircraft, the rest area is built into the aircraft.
The 767-300F cargo aircraft that we use is a bit different. What you see here is a converted cargo 'can'. A large cargo 'can' is about the size of a single axle cargo trailer, or a pickup truck camper, or 1/4 the size of a standard shipping container. This 'can' is converted to have two bunk beds and a few other things. It has electricity, communication, and air hookups. The sheets, pillows, etc are switched out for each person (no hot bunking!).
The most interesting thing about this can is that it's completely removable...freeing space for more freight when you don't need augmented crew, but having it available for when you do.
And it's surprisingly comfortable and quiet. Great for getting that mid-trip nap before switching back to the front with the view. Snoozed back here on the way to Brazil (early) this morning.

I can’t be the only one who gets excited when I see industrial chemicals traveling down the Interstate and ask my passengers to Google the UN numbers.
Today,I saw a particularly interesting load with a radiation Haz-id and asked my wife to google the UN number to confirm. As expected it was just your everyday Uranium transport. My tolerant wife let me speed to the next rest stop so I could get a video and screenshot a decent picture. Obviously, I know Uranium has to be transported, but would have expected more of an es**rt if I was asked randomly. Dull for most I am sure but added some excitement for me on our road trip to Tulsa.
M39 Shoe size 11 speeding down the interstate so no time for a banana.

I hope this isn’t too exciting for this group, because I was really intrigued! I was sitting in the woods today, southeast Ohio, where it’s been below freezing for a couple days. I looked down and thought I found someone’s đŸ§», so I nudged it out of my way. I then realized it wasn’t đŸ§», and thought it was styrofoam, which it wasn’t. It was ice. I then noticed another ice sculpture, then another and another. There were ribbons of ice curling and coming out of the ground. I have never seen anything like it! The tallest was probably 4inches tall, and all the ribbons were about an inch wide. The pictures really don’t do it them justice.

8 shoe today bc I wore oversized boots to keep my feet from freezing.
No banana, I don’t take them deer hunting, and it would’ve frozen.

I am a bartender. I recently found a silicone mold (have no idea where it came from or why) that could make tiny ice cubes. I filled it with water and put it in the freezer. Today I saw it and remembered I had tiny ice cubes frozen. Time to carry out my plan: make a tiny cocktail. I had my boss order mini martini glasses several months ago because: why not? Cutest shots ever.
Anyway, i spent probably five minutes pulling ice cubes about 1cmx1cm out of the silicone mold and putting them in the tiny martini glass. I shook about .5 oz of cheap vodka and poured it over the ice. An olive seemed like the least intrusive garnish which is why I went with a martini (manhattans or margaritas seemed like the garnish would completely take away from the drink).
I present to you: the smallest martini on the rocks ever. It made me happpy, anyway. It’s the *small* things.
No banana but normal sized olive for scale
F34, 9.5
Edited to add: I didn’t know this post would be popular. I wasn’t trying to pass this off as a drink I would normally make. I did it purely for my own entertainment. No one ordered this drink, nor did I make it with intention of making it taste good 😂 it was only made with the goal of being cute.
I may try to make other mini-cocktails in the future, though, since it seems like other people get enjoyment from them as well. If I do, I will give it more justice, I promise. Until then
 enjoy the small things đŸ„°

I have a peculiar collection of photographs of rather peculiar road signs. In fact this once started with a sign for a town actualy called 'Peculiar' which happens to be my favorite word in the English language. Note I managed to use the peculiar word peculiar 5 times!
40, F, size 39 bit prefers 38 in sandals. No Banaan for scale as, peculiarluy, they aren't included in any of the photo's.

I forgot I took this photo whilst on holiday. Hope it’s not too exciting
