On September 18, the Rule Joy Trammell + Rubio and Eskew Dumez Ripple design teams celebrated together at Georgia Tech’s ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new George and Scheller Towers—a significant project for our firm and one that has transformed the Tech Square landscape, adding a striking new presence to Atlanta’s skyline.

The completion of these towers represents much more than the arrival of two new buildings. As part of the continued expansion of Tech Square, the project creates new opportunities for education, research, collaboration, and connection between Georgia Tech, industry, and the broader Atlanta community.

For RJTR, the occasion also marked an important milestone in our continued growth, further strengthening our higher education portfolio and expanding our experience with the University System of Georgia and Board of Regents.

We are incredibly proud to have contributed to a project that will serve Georgia Tech for generations to come—supporting the people, ideas, and innovation that will help shape the future of Atlanta and make an impact far beyond it.

Congratulations to Georgia Tech and to the entire project team who helped bring this vision to life.

Live. Work. Play. — In the heart of Midtown Atlanta.

Multifamily design is an important part of successful urban and innovation districts—creating places where people can live, work, connect and engage with the community around them.

At Emmi Midtown, RJTR designed a 31-story, 326-unit residential tower in the heart of Atlanta, with co-working and amenity spaces, indoor/outdoor gathering areas and expansive views of the city.

Emmi builds on RJTR’s impressive portfolio of high-rise residential and mixed-use projects, bringing together the design experience, technical expertise and understanding of urban living that these complex buildings demand.

The project also reflects how we approach our work: we listen first, understand how people will use a space, and combine strong design with practical solutions and technical expertise.

We’re grateful for the owner/development team, JPX Works, Zeller, Manulife | CQS Investment Management, for the opportunity to add this beautiful project to our portfolio. We were also proud to once again work alongside general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie to bring Emmi to life.

The result has received significant industry recognition:

• 2026 Atlanta Business Chronicle Best in Atlanta Real Estate Awards — Best in Residential
• 2025 Multi-Housing News Excellence Awards — Gold, Best Development & Design: High-Rise
• Georgia Design Awards — Gold, Multifamily + Bronze, Rooftop Community Space
• AGC Georgia — First Place
• National Green Building Standard — Bronze

Our internship program continues to thrive, and we’re excited to introduce the students who joined RJTR this summer.

Investing in the next generation of architects and interior designers is a priority for our firm. We believe some of the most valuable learning happens beyond the classroom—working alongside project teams, collaborating with consultants and seeing firsthand how ideas develop into real projects.

For Abigail, an interest in architecture began in high school, when a teacher and coach encouraged her to pursue the field. This summer, she built on that foundation by collaborating with our team and outside consultants. One experience that stood out was watching the evolution of Omni New Orleans and seeing how a project develops from its earliest stages forward.

“Seeing a project evolve made me even more excited to be part of that process in the future.”

Morgan gained hands-on experience with both the creative and technical sides of interior design—from material selections and samples to submittals and tagging plans. The experience strengthened her technical and communication skills while reinforcing her interest in creating spaces that are both functional and meaningful.

“This summer showed me how creativity, collaboration and attention to detail come together to create spaces that are both functional and meaningful.”

Sanju also joined us this summer, representing Georgia Tech and gaining firsthand exposure to the architecture and design profession alongside our team.

We’re grateful to have had Abigail, Morgan and Sanju as part of RJTR this summer and are proud to support the next generation of design professionals.

Football season is back—but long before the first snap, teams have been preparing on and off the field, capturing the stories, interviews and moments that keep fans connected throughout the season.

At the Atlanta Falcons’ Flowery Branch training campus, Ticketmaster Studios gives the organization a state-of-the-art home for the content that keeps fans connected throughout the season—from player interviews and game analysis to podcasts, press conferences and digital storytelling.

RJTR designed the two-story addition to the campus with a 40' x 40' main production studio, secondary studio, podcast studio, control rooms, and media and interview spaces. The project also expands the Falcons’ day-to-day workplace with conference rooms, open office and café space. Throughout, the design reinforces the Falcons’ identity while maintaining a strong connection to the action outside, including views of the practice fields and switchable glazing that can provide privacy during confidential practices.

Behind the finished space was the kind of collaboration we value at RJTR—close coordination with AMB Sports + Entertainment, the contractor, production studio and acoustical engineers to integrate sophisticated broadcast technology and acoustics into an active training campus.

As another Falcons season gets underway, it’s exciting to see a space we helped create continue to play a role in how the team connects with its fans.

This week, we’re highlighting Rebecca Anderson, Associate Principal and Interior Designer, who has been part of RJTR for 12 years.

Rebecca played an important role in the interior design of the Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation at Shepherd Center, where the team’s approach was shaped by Shepherd’s mission of helping people regain independence.

For Rebecca and RJTR, that meant thinking beyond how the spaces looked to how they could actively support recovery, confidence and innovation.

One of the spaces she is especially proud of is the wheelchair obstacle course created on the top floor for the seating clinic. The course simulates everyday obstacles, so patients can test and adjust their wheelchairs in a realistic environment—an example of how thoughtful design can directly support someone’s daily life.

Rebecca also brought a different perspective to the project through her experience in hospitality, commercial, and sports performance design.

“Healthcare design doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical. It can be highly functional while still offering the warmth and comfort of hospitality.”

That perspective is reflected throughout the Marcus Center: technically complex healthcare environments that feel welcoming, comfortable, and human.

Rebecca says, “I am so proud of the entire project and to have been able to take part on something that will help people regain their independence in whatever way possible and create an environment that promotes recovery while inspiring innovation simultaneously.”

We’re proud to have Rebecca’s experience, creativity and thoughtful approach helping shape projects like this at RJTR.

The Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation at Shepherd Center demonstrates what is possible when thoughtful design begins with a clear understanding of the people a building must serve.

Part of Shepherd Center’s Pursuing Possible campaign, the 13-story facility will support expanding clinical, research, and administrative programs while freeing space within the existing campus for additional patient beds and enhanced services.

A new pedestrian bridge connects the existing hospital to the Marcus Center’s two-story lobby, creating an intuitive transition between new and existing spaces. Throughout the building and site, universal accessibility principles guided the design, with every detail carefully considered to support patients, families, clinicians, and staff.

Complex projects like this require more than a strong design vision. They require listening, close collaboration, careful coordination, and a practical understanding of how each decision affects the people who will use the space every day.

As RJTR continues expanding into the healthcare sector, we are proud to bring this same thoughtful, responsive approach to environments that advance care, support innovation, and improve the patient and family experience.

We're proud to celebrate two exciting milestones at RJTR—congratulations to Mea McCormack and Shannon Donohue on becoming licensed architects!

Earning architectural licensure is a significant achievement that reflects years of dedication, perseverance, and continuous learning. Throughout the process, both Mea and Shannon discovered that the hands-on experience gained through their work at RJTR reinforced the knowledge they needed to succeed, while the encouragement and support of their colleagues helped them reach this important milestone.

Mea was drawn to architecture because it brings together two things she loves: art and science. She is passionate about creating spaces that positively impact the way people live, work, and connect, and she believes thoughtful design can make a lasting social and environmental impact for future generations.

Shannon's passion for architecture developed through her experiences in design, construction, art, furniture, and collaboration with talented professionals. She is inspired by creating buildings that thoughtfully connect with their surroundings and shape the way people approach, enter, and experience a space.

Their accomplishments reflect not only their individual commitment to the profession but also the collaborative culture that defines RJTR.

Please join us in congratulating Mea and Shannon on this well-earned achievement. We're proud to celebrate this milestone and look forward to all they will continue to accomplish as licensed architects.

Award-winning design at Chamblee City Heights.

We’re honored to share that Chamblee City Heights received a Silver Award at the 45th Annual ASID Georgia Design Excellence Awards.

Designed within a compact urban footprint, the clubhouse transforms everyday amenity space into a layered resident experience—combining a two-story club lounge, co-working mezzanine, grand wooden stair, under-stair banquette nook, theater room, and street-facing mercantile-style windows.

Inspired by the site’s industrial past, the design brings together warm wood tones, aged brass accents, dark paneled walls, acoustic materials, and neo-industrial details to create a space that feels both refined and welcoming.

Congratulations to our team and partners on this recognition.

Great projects begin with a vision—and come to life through thoughtful collaboration, purposeful design, and attention to every detail.

At The Exchange Raleigh, RJTR partnered to create more than office space. The development was designed to foster connection, innovation, and a meaningful relationship between architecture and the surrounding landscape. From the Oculus Bridge connecting 1000 Social and 2000 Social office towers to the rooftop sky park to the monumental oak-inspired sculpture anchoring the lobby, every element was carefully crafted to create an engaging experience for tenants and visitors alike.

The result is a stunning building that reflects both the energy of a growing city and the enduring character of the Raleigh community.
