Julia | Specializing in multi-story buildings, flex suites, and new builds. As a WELL Accredited Professional, she designs spaces that put occupant health and wellness front and center.

Jessica | Blending technical ex*****on with creative vision to turn ideas into beautifully functional, livable spaces. Obsessed with the details that make a project sing, and also happens to be our unofficial office party planner.

Corina | Tackling tenant build-outs, retail, fitness studios, healthcare facilities, and industrial spaces. She’s also our media content manager and has worked as our in-house photographer, capturing the story behind every project.

Sara | Bringing fresh talent and drive to every project, from detailing construction drawings to pulling finishes that bring it all together no matter what stage the design is in.

Your office shouldn’t need a sign for every door.

Great spaces guide people without them even noticing. Here are 3 subtle design moves that do the heavy lifting:

1. Open sightlines — When guests can see reception the moment they walk in, there’s no guessing.

2. Material shifts — Polished concrete → plush carpet signals “private zone” better than any placard.

3. Strategic lighting — People naturally move toward light. A bright, warm reception wall is its own wayfinding system.

The result? Meetings start on time. Staff aren’t interrupted for directions. Visitors feel instantly at ease.

The Planning Interiors team hit Chi-Town for NeoCon 2026!

NeoCon is one of the biggest events in commercial interior design, bringing together designers, manufacturers, and industry leaders to showcase the latest products, ideas, and trends shaping the future of our spaces.

One thing was crystal clear this year: color is back! From rich emerald greens and sapphire blues to vibrant purples and ruby reds, bright jewel tones were everywhere. These bold, energetic colors added personality, warmth, and a little fun to every showroom we visited.

We’re heading home inspired, energized, and full of fresh ideas to bring to our clients and projects. Until next year, NeoCon!

This project was designed to create a warm, sophisticated workplace that reflects the personality and leadership style of the firm’s partners while supporting both collaboration and focused work throughout the day. Centered around transparency, natural light, and a thoughtful balance of openness and privacy, the space blends rich wood tones, refined materials, and tailored detailing to create an environment that feels polished, contemporary, and timeless.

First class all the way! Celebrating the very best in design at the 2026 IIDA Best of the Best Awards. Even though our project didn’t grab the win in the Education category this year, you already know we brought the energy. As we head into May, we’re taking a moment to look back and celebrate the incredible team members who reached major milestones in April! Our studio is only as strong as the people in it, and we are so lucky to have these four keeping our projects sharp and our office energy high:

Barbara – A Senior Designer who has been a pillar of our team for five years. She is incredibly detail-driven and code-savvy, making her our go-to expert for technical details and architectural drawings.

Melinda – A Senior Designer with a special talent for technical drawings and drafting. We love the variety she brings to the team, from colorful and unique educational spaces to our traditional commercial offices.

Rob – Our “secret weapon” and go-to guy! Rob has grown so much as a designer, and his unmatched energy keeps us all on our toes while providing constant support to the entire team.

Jan – The backbone of our front desk and accounting. From crafting essential proposals to keeping our daily operations running smoothly, we truly couldn’t do it without her!
