ROOM REDESIGN WEDNESDAY

Sometimes the room doesn't need more furniture. It needs a better conversation between the pieces already there.

Changing the orientation of a sofa, giving a chair a purpose, or creating a stronger focal point can completely change how a room functions.

Would you rearrange first—or shop first?

DESIGN TIP TUESDAY

If a room feels off, check the scale before you change the color.

A rug that’s too small, artwork hung without enough visual weight, or furniture that doesn’t relate to the size of the room can make an otherwise beautiful space feel unfinished.

Scale is one of those details you may not notice when it’s right—but you definitely feel when it’s wrong.

What gives you the most trouble: rugs, artwork, lighting, or furniture size?

DESIGN TIP TUESDAY

Before choosing a coffee table, look at the seating—not just the empty space.

The table should relate to the sofa in both scale and height, while leaving enough room to move comfortably around it. When those proportions are right, the entire seating area feels more intentional.

Do you prefer a round, square, or rectangular coffee table?

A room can be beautiful and still make your day harder.

When we design, storage, traffic flow and the way you actually use the space come before the finishing touches. The goal is not a showroom. It’s a home that works beautifully for real life.

What’s one thing in your home that looks good but drives you crazy?

MENTAL HEALTH

A calmer home can’t cure everything, but it can give you room to breathe, reset and just be.

Mental health matters to me personally. This month and always, I want to keep the conversation going—not from a place of perfection, but from lived experience.

Softer lighting. Less clutter. Meaningful surroundings. A little more peace.

Your feelings are valid. Your rest matters. There is strength in asking for support. 🩶

FRIDAY FAVORITES

Lighting can completely change how a room feels—even when nothing else changes.

I love using more than one source: ambient light for the room, task lighting where you need it, and accent lighting to create warmth and highlight the details worth noticing.

One overhead fixture trying to do every job is rarely enough.

Which room in your house needs better lighting?

Your home doesn't need to look expensive to feel luxurious. Sometimes, it starts with a candle. 🖤

Lights low. Your favorite playlist on. And Quiet Luxury doing what it does — warm santal and soft coconut filling the room until your shoulders finally drop.

This is the newest addition to The Livable Edit: a 12 oz Santal Coconut soy candle in our signature black vessel with gold lettering. Not just a scent — an atmosphere.

Preorders close Sunday, October 11, and the 10% off code PREORDER10 disappears with them. Shipping begins Monday, October 12.

Your calm is waiting — order before Sunday. 🕯️
