My Healing Journey

Life is full of twists and turns,
And sometimes we never learn.
But peace and serenity are what I crave,
So I'll embrace each lesson and learn to be brave.

So many childhood traumas have raised their ugly head,
But now it's time to lay them gently to bed.
It will take perseverance to reach where I long to be,
But in the end, this journey will set me free.

The time is now to put myself first,
And finally quench this long-neglected thirst.
I've carried everyone else's burdens for far too long,
But now I'm choosing the path where I belong.

I'm no longer hiding, no longer playing a part.
I finally hold the key to my healing heart.
The demons are fading, and my mind is becoming clear.
Now I'm stepping into this new life without fear.
