Picture it. The year was 1987, and my embellished jean jacket was magnificent. My collection of flair was unmatched in the seventh grade, thanks to a plethora of vintage rhinestone pins from my grandma. 💖✨🙂 I rounded out the mix with iron on patches and sequined shapes. My favorite was the ice cream cone. Fast-forward four decades (!!!!) and the remaining ice cream cones were still in my sewing kit. It's time to pass the torch. I haven't posted much lately. May and June have been a whirlwind. My father-in-law passed away unexpectedly, and with no time to catch our breath, we prepared for our son's high school graduation and his birthday. Bittersweet. We took a family trip to Chicago, making memories and savoring time together. 
Back at home, I'm getting back to a routine and it feels good to get my hands on piece of furniture. Work in progress: petite Swedish modern chest of drawers from the 1950s.
