Winfield H.Boehler purchased a wholesale business from Dobbs and Son. Over the years the decision was made to begin selling flowers retail as well as continuing the sale of bulbs and plants wholesale. Shaw went to Cortland, NY and opened a second location. Since then that location has changed ownership, they kept the name but have dropped the affiliation. Born into the family business, Winfield C.

Boehler worked with his father his entire life. In 1983 Win married Carolyn Dahl Siracusa, an employee and friend for 25 years. One of Carolyn’s two children, Tina, showed great interest in the business and Carolyn taught her the art of floral designing. In January of 2015 Win passed away just shy of his 90th birthday, and Carolyn and Tina saw the business to its 100th year in 2021
Then they closed the doors and retired.
