I’m so sorry for the long silence. I just wanted to give everyone an update. I’m still waiting on the fall mugs to be fired, but I promise they are coming! I’m still waiting on one batch to go through the glaze firing and those will be completed, and I have another batch that’s still waiting to go through the bisque firing, then I can glaze those and they can go through the final glaze firing. I apologize that it is taking much longer than anticipated. Unfortunately due to how long these have taken I am going to be skipping on Christmas themed mugs and I’m going to be working on Valentine’s Day items. Next year I’ll get a much earlier start on things so that I can get items out before holidays. I will let y’all know when the first batch is finished. I appreciate y’all’s patience and understanding through this learning experience, and me getting an understanding of my community studio’s schedule and kiln firings. ❤️

What a busy week! I spent this last week throwing the last batch of mugs on the wheel, and today I just finished trimming and attaching the last of the handles! I’ll spend this next week underglazing my little heart out on the last 17 mugs! I threw a few extra mugs in case any little mishaps happen, so in total I’ll have 28 fall mugs! I hope they all make it because this will be my biggest release so far! What a great feeling it is to step back and just appreciate what’s been done up to this point ❤️

Everyday when I throw a mug on the wheel I learn something new, weather it be a position the feels better to me, a different speed on the wheel for each step, how much pressure to use, how to hold the tools properly, shaping, pulling trimming, handles, attaching handles, etc. After tonight’s session I just sat and admired the pieces I just finished. It’s such a greatful feeling to see where I’m at now. it’s so nice to feel like I’m heading in the right direction, that this is for me, I have truly found my passion in life ❤️

I just finished dropping off the first batch of fall mugs! Yayy! This is the biggest batch I’ve dropped off, there were more mugs on top of these, and whew was I nervous getting these from my house to the studio 😂 but they all made it safely! One step closer to seeing these finished!! 🎃🍁😊🎉

Just finished throwing 5 more mugs! My goal is to throw 5 more tomorrow, and my hope is that if the kiln gods and clay gods are all on my side 😂 that I’ll have a total of 25 fall mugs for this year! I have 2 more new designs that I want to do on these next batch of mugs! I’m super excited y’all! I’m having so much fun with these! I can’t wait to see all 25 of these come to life and totally finished! 🎃🍁☕️👻🩸🛸

Sorry for the bad lighting on this one, I just had to show this one that I just finished! I love this one, kind of reminds me of scooby doo, scooby ghostie 😂 I’m spending the day tomorrow finishing up the last of painting the mugs now that they are dry enough for me to work with, so that I can get these in the studio on Wednesday, and hopefully have these finished by October! 🎃👻

I just got back from the studio! Worked on the final glazing for these cute little guys! Little more than halfway done, I’m going to go back in there on Wednesday to finish up glazing these, and to drop off the fall mugs so that I can start getting those going!! 🎉 what you see here is the last of my spring/summer collection, so once these are finished I’ll let y’all know and I will post the link to my website 😊 This drop will hopefully happen in the next week or two ❤️
