I’m keeping the basil momentum going in the garden. 🌿
After harvesting basil, I saved a few healthy cuttings so I grow more basil two ways — in water and in soil. For the water method, I placed the basil cutting in a jar with the lower node sitting in water and the leaves above the waterline. After a little time, tiny roots started forming. I also have a few basil cuttings already growing in soil, and once they settle in, they can start putting on new growth and becoming their own little plants. That’s one thing I love about herbs. You can harvest, root, replant, and keep the cycle going.
Nothing fancy today — just learning, growing, and letting the garden teach me one small step at a time.
Come along for the journey. This garden is always teaching me something new.
