Let me first say that it is wonderful to see indigo (and blues) get all this attention! If there is a versatile color that could transition from summer, when everyone is naturally thinking of blues, into fall, it is indigo and it’s making its appearance in many places. The phrase “A BEAUTIFUL HOME/WARM HOME” means different things to different people. My definition has changed over the years – I guess, I should say I have fine-tuned it. I like pastels just as much as anybody else, but indigo and related shades of deep, dark and intense blue add depth to the home's color palette. It's evocative of warm nights, starry skies and the restless and shimmering ocean -something that all of us look forward to, after a long, cold winter.

Beautiful texture and a relaxed style combine to create an easy-going opulence in the living room.

I know Pantone chose Radiant Orchid as the color of the year 2014 but I have been seeing these gorgeous shades of grey and grey-blue in so many places that it could be a close runner up to the position.
