Hey guys,

I think it’s time we talk about how this time of year can be tough. For an artist like me I spend my whole year expressing my emotions through these pieces that by the time I get to this month it already been a whirlwind of emotions.

RDN Studios wants to remind you of it’s mission statement in times like these:

RDN Art Studio invites one and all to get vibrant! The studio hopes to bring together all walks of life to start conversations, make memories, and find our communities. It’s our mission to bring life and light to an otherwise dreary world.

So though all of us may be going through something, I want to remind you that you are always welcome in the studio. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me and my passion even when it’s hard for me to personally navigate hard times.

“Hectic Gold”

I made this when I first moved to Austin last year and forgotten how well this turned out.

The texture work was an experiment to see what my gold paint would look like with different edges, its vibrant hue really compliments the red back ground.

I’ll be posting more today, I missed yesterday so I’ll be keeping yall posted

“Cooling Lava”

This was a fun one to make, to me it looks like a lava river going the lush rolling hills. The theme of this piece is that peace and chaos can coexist at the same place and time.

Symbolizing how life can be at any given moment, and how we should navigate thru that confusing time and grow.

“Cactus Ghost”

Here we see some desert ghosts. They’re enjoying the warm day hanging in the sun and…on a cactus?

“Solar Rain”
Medium: Drip Acrylic on Canvas

Another experiment of Drip painting, I had the feeling of the summer heat of this year when I was making this.

There was a lot going on this summer of major droughts and inflation of the economy, making it feel like the world is on fire, hence the sun on the top left corner. Its projection of cosmic rays of hues of greens and violet symbolize the chaos that it brings to our atmosphere, reflecting our emotions of stress and violence.

I do hope things get better for everyone, it’s looks grime now, but I know in my heart things will get better. Hope y’all have a lovely day and I’ll see you tomorrow

Had my third market yesterday. I’m grateful for the community RDN Studios is slowly building. It’s amazing to not only watch the business grow, but myself as well. 🎨

Our Saturday Show was a fun and exciting time! It was a little hectic in the beginning, but the people we’ve met have been so kind and respectful.

This show has taught me that community is such an important part of our lives. It’s my job to help make the community a better place with my art, to make things more vibrant!

We have another show coming up this month, more details to come this week! I have some exciting things coming to the studio.

“Orbit above the Golden Arctic”

Space, the final frontier, in all of its beauty, this piece shows the incredible view of what it looks like to orbit above this breathtaking plant of streaking golds and arctic hues of blue of powerful winds. Off in the distance, we can see it’s fellow neon planetary neighbors, small but beautiful still as they orbit majestically around the planet of the Golden Arctic.

In this field of blue you’ll find a majestic magnitude. The field connects us to our not so distant past and allows us to show up as our most beautiful selves. Every year it comes and every year it goes, and we long for a Fields of Bluebonnets like a reunion with an old friend. Oh, when that reunion is had, there are memories to last.
