The finished transformation! ✨

Two weeks ago, I shared the vision for this primary bathroom remodel, and now the completed space is ready to enjoy!

Clean lines, timeless materials, thoughtful details, and improved functionality came together to transform this bathroom from builder-grade to beautifully elevated.

I especially love how the large-format tile, custom niche, mitered edges, and carefully planned shower details came together to create a space that feels both luxurious and practical.

What an impactful Lunch & Learn hosted by EGBI Business Accelerator featuring Anisleides Infantes and her valuable insights on “How to Win Contracts with the Government & Primes.”

Anis shared four critical areas for success:
🔹 Positioning
🔹 Qualification
🔹 Writing Excellent Proposals
🔹 Post-Bid Readiness

One key takeaway that really resonated with me was the importance of strategy as a competitive advantage. Success isn’t just about submitting a bid—it’s about building relationships with GCs and owners, establishing a strong presence in the local community, and getting your specifications in front of architectural design teams early so your products and services can be considered and incorporated into project specifications.

As a small business owner who regularly bids on projects, I truly value opportunities like this to learn, sharpen my approach, and connect with other entrepreneurs.

I was also proud to represent Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce at this event and grateful for the opportunity to learn, share, and build relationships within our business community.

I represented the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce at the 4th annual DECA Summit, an excellent resource for small business owners looking to grow, connect, and access new opportunities.

The summit offered valuable insight on the economy, access to capital, and procurement opportunities, along with opportunities to connect with major business and community partners.

I attended an inspiring branding keynote, by Jayzen Patria, networked with sponsors and business leaders, and connected with a skilled candidate who could provide valuable support to my business.

Overall, it was a great opportunity to build relationships, gain resources, and discover new possibilities for growth.

From builder-grade to beautifully elevated! ✨

I’m excited to share the before & after of this primary bathroom transformation!

The goal was to create a shower that feels clean, luxurious and spacious, while adding thoughtful details that make it more functional for everyday living.

A few of my favorite details:

🚿 24x48 large-format porcelain tile carried to the ceiling and wrapped around the window
✨ A recessed niche cleverly tucked into the new pony wall
📐 Mitered edges around the window and pony wall for a clean, finished look
💧 Shower controls positioned at the entrance for easy access
🌧️ Kohler rain head + handheld spray
🪵 A waterproof teak bench that can be pulled into the shower when needed

We also replaced the carpet in the primary closet with LVP and a plush runner.

And I love finding creative ways to use leftover materials! The tile remnants became a custom accent wall and an outdoor tabletop. ♻️

The entire renovation—from demo and framing to plumbing and tiling—was completed in just 2 weeks!

This is why I love what I do. Good design isn't just about making a space beautiful—it’s about creating a space that works beautifully for the people who live in it.

It’s exciting to watch the vision for this modern farmhouse spec home in Austin’s Zilker neighborhood take shape!

I've completed the interior and exterior finish selections, carefully curating materials that create a warm, timeless aesthetic with a modern edge.

A steel-and-glass window system will make a bold first impression at the entry, while an earthy color palette carries throughout the home. Warm wood flooring and cabinetry are balanced with slate green and soft off-white cabinetry, complemented by creamy quartzite countertops. Gold and black plumbing fixtures, lighting, and hardware add the perfect finishing touches to create a sophisticated yet inviting home.

I can’t wait to see these selections come together as construction continues. Stay tuned for more progress updates!

Spent the day at the HBA Parade of Homes with Hjardier Dunn, exploring the latest trends, craftsmanship, and design innovation in luxury homes.

Among the impressive collection of homes, one truly stood out and became our favorite of the tour: a stunning 7,000-square-foot custom residence by Next Custom Homes, offered at $11.3M. Every space showcased exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful design.

Highlights that captured our attention:
✨ Unique millwork throughout the kitchen, wet bar, living room shelving, ceilings, and powder room
✨ Breathtaking Venetian plaster walls and ceilings—the homebuilder shared that two artisans spent six months perfecting the finish
✨ Inspiring tilework in the bathrooms, including a dramatic floor-to-ceiling fluted feature wall in the primary bath
✨ Beautifully clean architectural lines and geometry, with no baseboards or door trim—just subtle recessed reveals that created a seamless, modern aesthetic

Days like this are a reminder that great design is in the details. Grateful for the opportunity to learn from exceptional craftsmanship and gather inspiration that fuels future projects.

Great conversations and new opportunities at the City of Austin Meet the Prime – Vertical & Horizontal Construction event!

I enjoyed connecting with SpawGlass and learning more about their Building Services Division, which focuses on smaller contracts. Their work aligns well with the services my firm provides, including custom millwork, cabinetry, countertops, and window coverings.

I was also excited to discover that I made the cover of Austin Small and Minority Business Resources brochure recognizing businesses certified with the City of Austin as Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises. It's an honor to be featured and to be part of such a supportive business community.

Attended the TFC Vendor Expo and had a great opportunity to network, strengthen relationships with prime contractors, and explore upcoming project opportunities.

I’m a strong advocate for showing up to outreach events, sharing capability statements, and having meaningful conversations with primes about future work. These events are more than just networking opportunities—they’re a chance to put a face to your company, reinforce your capabilities, and remind people who you are and what you do.

One of the highlights of the event was connecting with the Senior Project Manager for a project I recently bid. I was excited to learn that I’ve been invited to a post-bid interview next week—a promising step toward a potential contract award.

It’s always rewarding to reconnect with familiar faces while building new relationships that can lead to future partnerships and opportunities.

Success in business development starts with visibility, consistency, and relationships. Keep showing up.
