I fall in love with floral design in a different way and for a different reason every day

Today its because its an art of limitation.
Thousands of varieties to choose from but when it comes to designing, you’re limited to the recipe you built and the shapes, textures and colors that exist within it.

I compare it in my mind to sculpting a lot of the time. Because that’s what it feels like when it’s done. But instead of carving or molding, youre poking, cutting, twisting and bending things that already exist. And these things are already beautiful. How cool to have a limitation that is already laced with so much beauty.

Come to think of it, that’s a lot like life :)

Looking back at this styled shoot from a couple of years ago, and wow, I can’t believe how much has changed! I remember feeling so proud of these arrangements and how thankful I felt for the opportunity to design them for my friend ♥️ I love how calm and happy I look in this moment. It’s wild to think how much has changed since then, but one thing hasn’t. I still love creating and connecting with the amazing people in this industry. Feeling grateful for the journey and all the trends and ebbs and flows of the seasons that come with this field of work.

Feeling extra thankful this year 🤍
So thankful I get to call this incredible city my home, and that I’ve met some of my favorite people here! Between industry friends, fellow business owners and book club, I’ve created a life that I really really love full of the best kinds of people. I don’t know how I got so lucky with the people I have around me and I definitely don’t know what I’d do without ya 🫶🏻 That’s what life’s all about yall (@ my Vegas friends, yes I say yall now LOL)
