Meet Mylah, one of our young budding artists at Living Lands! She has been working hard on her earrings this summer, so we wanted to show her off and ask you all to send her a little love and support ✨ You can find her earrings and crystal necklaces in our budding artist section at Living Lands Collective 💜 her creativity and focus inspires us all daily!

"Hello, my name is Mylah I am a jeweler but I wasn't always one. It all started not so long ago at Christmas with my mom's side of the family, they saved a special present after all the other presents were opened and my papa had me come over to his chair and he said I have something to give you. It was a box full of jewelry making stuff! I was so excited I got to work right away on my first pair of earrings! They were very pretty. My first customer ever was my grandma. She bought five pairs so that was $50 because each of my earrings cost $10. So after that I became a jewelry maker and since then I've been making plenty of jewelry. We made a special display and my mom made me a stamp. It has my logo on it . My business is called Mylah Wilder creations. I am very proud of my business! That is how I got started!"

Just me and an old rock cornerpost to give an update on Ozarks Alive’s Rock Picking Awards: 55 people and organizations submitted applications (across eight categories) for this year’s awards!

Those applications are now with the judges, and honorees will be announced by mid-September. I am thrilled with how many people took time to apply and share about the important work they’re doing across the Ozarks.

Living Lands Collective Artist Highlight: Jesse Toombs

Jesse is a self-taught artist, musician, and creator. He has been painting canvases, motorcycles, and even building murals and signs for several years! His work ranges from detailed, realistic portraits to stunning, fantasy vibe pieces like the ones displayed at our gallery.

He also does commission work! If you are looking to have a portait painted of a loved one or family pet, or a mural on a whole wall or out building - this guy is the one to call!
