A pompon dahlia is an official dahlia flower form defined by its small, very round, ball-shaped blooms.

A true pompon dahlia typically has:

* Small flowers — usually 2 inches or less in diameter
* A fully double bloom, with no visible center
* Petals that are tightly rolled/involute for their entire length
* Petals arranged very evenly around the flower, creating an almost perfect little globe
