We recently had the privilege to host the Natural Fiber Installer Certification Level II (Nfic) at our shop. We had a great group of participants from FL, PA (Spiegels flooring), MA, SC, GA and CT. Our instructor was none other than the legendary P.J. Arthur, assisted by our own Donald Perkins, both NFIC Certified Master Installers.

Students learned techniques to work with including wools, woven goods and sisal/seagrass. Attention was given to identifying construction of and and the proper way to work with each. These skills will allow proper installation of these materials and lead to greater customer satisfaction.

Installers who successfully completed the course will be receiving an NFIC Installer Level II Certification, and Helpers will be receiving a Technical Certification.

Donald is collecting all the badge flair he can at TISE 2026! Set up and assisting with some certification instruction is complete, now its time to get to work! We are excited to be learning about the newest innovations in flooring products and tools for our customers.

Donald is off to help with some set up at The International Surface Event , just in time to escape the cold and snow of New England! We thank the World Floor Covering Association and for the opportunity to help with this huge undertaking. Don will be helping set up for the show and assisting with the Installer of the Year Competition, as well as checking-in with our product reps and mills for new and exciting materials and tools. We look forward to all the networking and knowledge that is to come in the following week!

Emily will still be running the showroom and the install crew will continue their stellar work in the field.

We had a great time installing this beautiful Couristan Highland Plaid in Denim. This playroom has a 22 foot seam in it and the seam came out amazing! So very happy with this project and our team for the wonderful attention to detail!
