the wife of a great guy and we feel we're soulmates from all we enjoy doing together. I was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma that spread 2-ish years ago and has not returned. I was in a very late stage and was given an immunotherapy, it did very well for me. My husband went a long time not being able get a diagnosis for his health. A short time ago he was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson's Disease and more recently with a dementia that can be tied to the PD. We both are fighters and we know what it is like to be down and out. I think I learned from him what it takes to keep fighting even when you feel you can no longer go on. Yes he can be a grump but he is my grump and we have enjoyed 35 years together and 30 of those married to each other, so far. We love each other always so we remember that when he is having an issue, that I still love him but I also know that what is happening is not him at all. It is the disease that has turned a once active and intelligent man into an anger filled person at times. We have always enjoyed the paths we traveled, neither of us was the leader and we certainly did not follow from behind. We walked each journey we took hand and hand, side by side.
